Description (Made with Pixlr)

A wealthy pilot and adventurer, Bruce Cranston had made his millions through his travels and discoveries with his trusty planes and keen sense of treasures.  But one day, he decided to look for the mystical city of Shambhala, believed to be hidden deep within China's wilderness.  He eventually made it to the supposed location through a crash landing and found the city that appeared to be seemingly invisible to the naked eye.  The monks who lived there allowed Bruce entrance to the city and taught them everything they had.  Shambhala was a city that masterfully combined magic with technology, cloaking themselves from the world so evil cannot find them.  They believed that Bruce can be used as a weapon to fight evil as he was already powerful enough to see the city.  For about a year, Bruce was trained in their ways of fighting, technology, illusions, and hypnotism.  Once he mastered all of these skills, he returned to New York City a changed man.

Word across the city quickly spread of Bruce's return, as most of the country thought he was dead or went insane in his year-long absence.  Bruce assured everyone that he was fine and came up with the cover story that his plane was caught on a storm and he was stranded on an island until he was spotted by Chinese sailors, when in reality he had sworn to secrecy to never tell anybody where he had really been.  He had also announced his retirement to exploring to instead live off of his amassed wealth, but once night fell, Bruce decided to use his training for its intended purpose and became a vigilante.  Basing his new identity off of the bats that had greeted him in Shambhala and crafting a grapnel gun and a bulletproof cloak, Bruce became known as the Flying Fox!

For years, the Flying Fox kept the streets of New York safer by taking down major crime bosses and supervillains in the city.  Armed with other gadgets and his powers to create illusions and even make himself appear invisible, the Flying Fox was a terrifying foe against evil.  He was also equipped with a plane of his known as "The Fang" and a web of followers who protected parts of the city known as the "Foxlings".

Later on, the Flying Fox had gained a sidekick known as Wing.  Wing was really a young circus acrobat by the name of Tim Grayson, who had unfortunately lost his parents to a crime boss who murdered them as a warning to the circus' managers.  Bruce witnessed these events and decided to adopt the kid so that he would have a home.  While Tim was excited to be living with a millionaire, he started to pick up on strange things.  For one, Bruce would seemingly disappear at night and would often forbid Tim to wander the halls of his home without him.  Eventually, curiosity got the better of him and he waited in the mansion's library only to see Bruce walk out of a secret passage in his costume.  Tim put the pieces together and asked Bruce if he could work alongside him, Bruce declined and said that the criminal underworld was too dangerous for a twelve year old.  Tim didn't listen and reused his acrobat costume to become a hero, successfully stopping a bank robbery with nothing but his wit and acrobatic skill.  Bruce found out about and rethought his decision.

Once America joined World War II, the Flying Fox and Wing were both selected to join the Justice Champions and help aid the Allied powers in Europe.  Bruce agreed and worked alongside other famous heroes before they disbanded once the war was over.  They did stay in touch with one another through their second team, the Impervious Five, and would hold monthly hangouts.

Unfortunately, the Flying Fox had met his demise in 1956 to the villain known as Dr. Malice, who lead Bruce into a trap at a warehouse where he was shot by a hidden gun.  Tim, now an adult, had found his body at the trap after he had felt bad about an argument they had about his future as a vigilante and wanted to apologize.  He made an alibi to cover up his death so nobody would figure out his secret identity, stating that Bruce died in a mugging that went violent.  People bought it and Tim soon discovered that Bruce had left all of his possessions to him with the intent to continue his legacy .

Another microhero, a little better than the last one but still has room for improvement.  I might stop after I do all of the Justice Champions or other pastiches.
