Protoman – L

History:

After the death of Megaman, Protoman swore to become the hero his brother never got the chance to be, allowing the now insane and vengeful Dr. Light to augmenthis body making it more powerful and, perhaps unintentionally, warping his mind as the upgrades he used had never been fully tested. Nevertheless, Protoman became the spearhead of Dr. Light’s vendetta against Wiley and then later built several factories to produce his ‘Proto-Legion’ who would act as the foot soldiers in Light’s war to overtake the Earth. After conquering the world, the Proto-Legion became more of a peacekeeping unit, but Protoman, now delusional and somewhat psychotic, still craved the life of a hero.

To achieve this, he would reawaken various robot masters to attack Arcadia so that he might engage them in battle and kill them all over again. Of the Triumvarate, the trio of people who now rule the world, Protoman is the easiest to bait and draw out, as he cannot resist a challenge.

Abilities:

Triple Slash – Basic three point attack with the sword

Circle Cut – spins in a circle and launches himself across the ground, hits multiple times.

XLZ Rush – bounces off the edge of the screen at high speed in the shape of an ‘X’, ‘L’, or ‘Z’

Virus Crusher – Unleashes his larger right arm and slams it onto the ground to create a shockwave

Virus Grab – lunges at his opponent and grabs hold of them, attempting to infect them with his Proto-Legion Virus (since Bass has already been insulated against the virus, it cannot control him, but it still does four times damage and drains away all energy banked in his weapons)

Backlash Toss – Throws the absorbed energy back in Bass’ face as a compressed energy grenade.

Backlash Aura – Basically makes Protoman-L invincible and doubles the strength of his attacks until it wears off (lasts about 15 seconds)

Transformation – After depleting Protoman-L’s first health bar he releases his ultimate form, a bigger, stronger more monstrous version of himself that has almost three times the power of his ‘hero’ form (includes two full health bars, increased range to all attacks, three times power on basic attacks and double strength to all ‘virus’ attacks)

Reward for Defeat – ProtoSaber.exe (transforms Bass’ arm into a curved purple saber that extends the range of melee attacks)
