1 Batman: “I’m back.”
1 Spoiler: “Any good news?”
2 Batman: “No. Our position is fraying at an exponential rate and normal people are actually, actively beginning to embrace the Joker as a genuine religious figure. I’m afraid the game is just about up. We’re not going to be able to pull society back after it goes over the brink.”
3 Spoiler: “We can’t let him win.”
3 Batman: “We can’t stop him if we can’t find him. And I haven’t received any worthwhile leads from Harvey.”
4 Spoiler: “Someone has to know where he is.”
4 Batman: “The last time we made a serious attempt at ferreting him out, he fed my informant bad information and got us at his mercy. I don’t want to repeat that debacle.”
5 Spoiler: “I remember. That was a scary night. The things he said, or alluded to… he’s not like any of the others.”
6 Batman: “No. But he’s not a god, either, and it’s increasingly difficult to articulate the difference.”
6 Spoiler: “We’d better think of something fast, then. Something to halt his plans of theocratic domination, even if we can’t completely beat him.”
