Description At the end of part I, King Rocker, Hailey comes around and finds herself on a plane with Murdoc and 2D. No idea how she got there.

Murdoc spins a tale of hard partying that leads to a blackout and that is why she doesn't remember what happened. When asked where they are going, Murdoc merely replies: "We're going home."

...I can't tell if what Murdoc says counts as sweet or not.

You have to read the story

From what I've read, we seem to have the same opinion about what happens when Murdoc cares about a girl.
Mainly, that something will happen that will basically make him think "Why me?" and we as the audience will find it somewhat humorous.

I tried to keep him as "in character" as possible through the first part of the story but still give him a more human touch.

In the beginning, its not so much that he really cares about her, but more along the lines of just the desire for companionship and happy he found someone who is as into the rough play as he is.

Oh WOW, this is a really great piece... I can almost feel her mixed emotions here: worry, uncertainty, the ''what the hell have I got myself into" thoughts. Love Murdoc's casual pose, seemingly unconcerned, but then, he HAS got his way, even if it wasn't under the circumstances he probably would have preferred. Ace!

I will admit that I had a really hard time with Hailey. I think a little too baby-faced in this sketch. She's a woman of experience, you could say. She looks way too young in this.

I'm my worst critic.

She looks appropriately bewildered, and that can affect how she looks. We are always hardest on ourselves. Don't forget, she was 11 years his junior, and she is what she is, so if she looks young, maybe that's just her luck.

I'll buy the bewildered thing, LOL. Even though she is over a decade younger, she is still in her thirties and to me she looks early twenties.

The only real reason I went with the sketch as is was because I was happy with the look on her face. I had caught the look right, even if I did make her seem younger than she was.
