Description
The last of my four part horror series I was commissioned to do. The terror of Camp Crystal Lake himself, Jason Voorhees. I'll admit I'm not a big fan of the Friday the 13th movies, I would have preferred to draw "Pinhead" from "Hellraiser", but a lot of people love Jason and also I was commissioned to do him, so oh well. It was fun. Maybe some time when my hand isn't exhausted from busting out all these 18x24 drawings I'll do a Pinhead portrait for fun.Related content

ohh ok, it was soo freakin awesome, and most of the time, i hate it when tv channels have to go on breaks when they cant just show the entire thing without delay, its really aggrivating

Indeed it is, lol, that movie has one of my favorite lines. When Freddy is in that guys body facing off Jason and he's like "Back off bitch, hes mine!". XD

He does, when he takes over that stoner kid's body and faces off Jason. They may have cut it out since it's for TV and Freddy says "Bitch". You'll have to watch the unedited version.

well,Nightwing wasn't always rude like he is today, when he was young, like about 13 months old, his father was killed in action. when he was 3 his mother Sylith, married Sarlon, so yes, Nightwing is the stepson of Sarlon and the stepbrother of Arix. anyway, Sarlon dripped some sort of burning fluid on Nightwings eyes. the next day, he some how woke up with better eye sight than any dragon. then he was burnt by some sort of poisonous organic acid that sarlon poured on him. it did burn him, but it also poisoned him, and the more nightwing tried to break free, the more it hurts. then after the ordeal, Sarlon gifted Nightwing immortality, and possesed him with darkness. and worst of all, Sarlon stole his soul, Nightwing didnt sell it, it was stolen from him.

thats only the begining, Sarlon taught nightwing all the basics of evil and when he found out that his mother died, he didn't shed a single tear, 500 years later, nightwing was taught nothing but cruelty and fear. exactly what sarlon liked. some time later, his sister kara ran away because she couldn't take that much evil. all who was left was nightwing. Nightwing soon found out that sarlon killed his mother, then he ran away from the tragity. Now he so wants revenge from sarlon, along with trying to slay Arix. and Queltezal himself. but he failed his task. then he came to me for help

thats not only the half of it. the day he recieved the scars was on his birthday. even his true love luciel, died in his arms. he found her tormented by sarlon. and the saddest thing is, he didn't shed a single tear. that is until he somehow fell in love with a new dragon named Selene. soon after that he also found out that a child had also died by sarlon's wraith, and he was Nightwing's son. that is how he's been having nightmares and almost having restless nights.

another beautiful piece, love the dark background, really enhances the "fear factor" of Jason^^ lovely work on the shadows and highlights as always but the mask seems a little too round, whereas a goalie mask is more eggish and long and you missed the red marks near the mouth, but then again i dont know which jason movie you're taking this from so never mind
anyway beautiful work, by the way the scratches are a very nice intricate touch

Im a new person to the genure of horror. and of couse ive heard of the series firday th 13th and the series nightmare on elm street -- mostly good things of couse but some bad things. Im very interested to see both of the series. not all of the movies but first few you know that make the series really famous. I really love how you did this small series. your very tainled with pencils yes? i saw what you did with that gerard way picture and the quote form house of wolves and loved it as well.

Umm yes the medium but mainly the poses. how do you get that right? do you use gulid lines or do you pretty know what your doing

I find a picture that I want to draw from, print it the size I want to draw it at. (I can do it from a smaller picture, but it's easier if they're the same size) and look at it and try to sketch down where everything is at. I use graphite pencils, many different types of erasers, a brush to get all the eraser shavings off, and a piece of tissue paper to blend.
