Description
Starting off the new year with some Pokemon art! So when I first started playing Pokemon Shield I thought the new dinosaur Pokemon Dracozolt, Arctozolt, Dracovish, and Artovish were just awful. I didn't understand why they were so weird looking and mismatched until I read online that they were purposely done that way. For those of you who don't know, this was done by Pokemon as sort of a joke. Since the new games are very much UK inspired they made the Pokemon fossils mismatched, creating these abominations. This is based off the real life London's Crystal Palace Park where the statues of dinosaurs were incorrect and parts misplaced. Now knowing the back story I actually love these four, it's hilarious and a fun wink to history.

True, the Bone Wars have their place in paleontological history, but it wasn't nearly as weird as what we see in Galar.

Ah yes, the infamous era of the fossil race in which whoever "discovered" the most species was the winner. Lead to a lot of weird misconceptions that we had for a long while. Like not having a real "Brontosaurus" up until recently or the Plesiosaurus that had it's skull on it's tail, etc. Not to mention Cara Liss can't even wear matching shoes. I'm convinced that she's not a real scientist, rather that she's stolen this machine to pretend to be a scientist lol

Yeah, it's funny how many different versions of Iguanodon there were and the one we have now may still be incorrect... But I also hoped that you could get correctly matched dino-Pokemon in this game.
