Here's the last starter I made from 1st gen, Squirtle, Wartortle, and Blastoise. The Pokemon themselves are done in Polychromos colored pencils, and the background is done in Prismacolor markers and some slight adjustments in Photoshop.My site: rushelle.com/

This is really a thoughtful and charming interpretation of of the Squirtle starter family! You clearly did your research when it comes to the anatomy and appearance of tortoises and turtles. The heads on all three of the figures are very well rendered, and it's clear that you enjoyed working on those areas.
The same careful attention to detail is not as obvious in other areas. Blastoise's belly is very flat, primarily because you didn't follow the contour of his shape the same way you did with his face and beak. That is the number one reason that the shell on Blastoise doesn't read very well. Many of your pencil strokes don't follow what should be the contour, and as a result parts of his shell look concave rather than convex.
Another very easy trick to lending some dimensionality to your drawings is to really nail the reflected light patterns on the underside or dark side of your forms. Blastoise's belly is a missed opportunity to showcase reflected light, especially in the underwater setting.
The colors are very nice and saturated, which is difficult to achieve with colored pencil, so very nice work.
With just a little bit of study in perspective and rendering, you'll see huge improvement. Your dedication is obvious, all you need is a bit of refinement. If you have the opportunity, try drawing a turtle or tortoise shell from real life. You'll see the form much better than you can when you work from a photograph.
