Description Finally finished my olorotitan reconstruction! The body is done in markers and colored pencil, background is painted in acrylic paint, and the labels added through Illustrator. I'm still learning paleo reconstruction, so feedback is always appreciated.

Yeah, still a good piece though! Mistakes are just things we can learn from.

The torso is a little too long, and maybe some dino fuzz? (not sure, I never really studied hadrosaurs much, and now that I think of it I am asking myself why I never did) but I love the coloration! I like how you don't have your dinosaurs pop out to much so they look like they aren't just pasted on!

Thanks! I think you're right with the torso. I actually looked into if hadrosauridae had dino fuzz and at the time I created this and I couldn't find any evidence that they did, seemed like they had just scales. I could be wrong though if any new discovery has been made that says otherwise.

I have never heard of a dinosaur having fur. If you're referring to "dino fuzz" or feathers there's a lot of evidence pointing to hadrosauridae's having scales. Even imprints have been found and they show flesh and scales, as far as I know there's no impressions showing any evidence of feathers. If you have research or a article to back up your claim I'd love to read it.

There is strong evidence that the scutes you often see on dinosaur foot reconstructions and on bird feet are actually highly derived feathers.  They likely appeared on animals that were either feathered or secondarily scaly(meaning their ancestors were feathered but they lost them).  So its very unlikely that hadrosaurs or any ornithischians had scutes on their feet like a bird.  If they had them at all, they were probably different in appearance.  We know animals like concavenator and T. rex had them, so its a strong bet that many coelurosaurs and theropods in general had them.  You also dropped the knee too low even when you got it more correct in your skeletal.  I think you also stretched out the torso a fair bit.  Hadrosaurs have these pretty compact torsos.  Pretty sure you got the head too small too.  I do however really dig the coloration on this guy.  I like the spots and the blue crest compliments the orange body nicely

Thanks! I really try to stay away from "shrink wrapped" dinosaurs and make them more believable.
