I know, I know, I'm late on the Godzilla fanart bandwagon! I actually started this back when I saw the new Godzilla film opening weekend, but this annoying thing called life got in the way and I had to put off working on this for a couple of weeks. Better late than never! Anyway, I obviously saw the new Godzilla movie and I absolutely loved it. I grew up on all the classic Godzilla films (And I still love to watch them to this day) and this film totally felt like one of those films. Godzilla was a total badass, nice cast, effects, and I loved the designs of the MUTO. Only thing I can give critique wise was it needed more Bryan Cranston, you can never have too much Cranston.My site: rushelle.com/

I do love how you captured some of the things in this picture that we wanted to see in the movie like Godzilla's ferocity and him holding his own against the Muto. I do like your attention to the colors and details with shading and scratch marks. The fire and the shine really do help in making this look more epic. I do find that there are some anatomical choices that are a little detracting from the overall experience. I don't recall the Mutos having teeth or three lower jaws. To be honest, the teeth and its position make the male Muto look like a different kaiju. The placement of Godzilla's arms close to his head make him look a little small (but that might just be my perspective). Overall, I think you did a good job!

Ten years of waiting and it was totally worth it. Godzilla was my most anticipated and best film of 2014. It had great characters, a fantastic score and the monsters in the film were nothing short of phenomenal. The MUTO's are now some of my favorite monsters and Godzilla himself was mind blowing. Unlike the Roland Emmerich film, Godzilla actually had the the star monster in the film and his performance was simply MASSIVE (pun intended).
This piece pretty much shows my love for giant monster movies. Godzilla looks ferocious and the MUTO's are trying so hard to kill their adversary to no avail. It is perfect. Everything about this piece is perfect.
