Description
[link] to the original.I was going to make a tutorial when I made my last painting, but forgot to save my steps like halfway through. So I made sure to get it right this time. haha
If you use this tutorial you should (don't have to, but it'd be sweet) comment and link to your work down below. It can be a new environment you made yourself, or even the one I made and you kinda just followed along with me. (I don't mind, I'm not going to call you an art thief. Just don't say you made it 100% by yourself because I helped some d: )
Have fun and good luck!
I hope when you see this you are inspired to paint today

Made this following the tutorial: [link]
You can see it's lacking some of the detail - I really struggle with the texture/detail element. On step five, the rock on the left hand side, I just can't seem to imitate that. Am I missing something? Can you please explain how you achieve that kind of conceptual texture?
You might also want to make note of the lasso tool for doing the vines, as well as for getting those sharp edges, otherwise people might get a little lost!
Thank you for the tutorial!

It's a good start!
It's just practice with lighting, really. Rocks always give me trouble, too. Just hand painted some shadows and some highlights with some texture brush I had, I think.
And I didn't use the lasso tool at all for vines. Just hand painted with the basic brush. Be sure to have the pressure enabled, that way you get different sizes along the way of the brush stroke.
Thanks for showing me what you came up with

Alright, something to go off at least
Really? Sounds pain staking! For me using the lasso allows you to get those differences in shape since you can't move your hand equally for the entire shape, it just seems like an efficient way of getting clean lines/vines.
Thanks for the tutorial!

You should! And be sure to comment or note your picture to me, too!
And I have no idea why it's featured there. I think someone from that group wanted it to be added to help the horse people with their backgrounds? I dunno lol.

lol Yea I will, I gotta say Im glad you got a DD today because I would probably have never found gallery. I really like your art, primarily because I love landscapes and you have some really fantastic ones but I think another thing is that I love the textures you get in your pieces. I think its the "Find Edges" that helps do it. Anyways great work
