Description Actually a little modelling excercise: I modelled the hand using those NURMS thingies, whatever. Also, my first rigging: the fingers actually move, via bones.

even the mighty Starfleet needs a HAND now and then; or, Kirk needs to get a GRIP; or, Apollo has the gift of GRAB, or...

It's doubtful one would talk to a hand such as that. It's completely well crafted.

Nice, this one looks pretty good. The only complaint I have is the hand looks slightly out of place, but it did in the episode anyway. Why did you make it green out of interest?

Thank you very much!

It was green in the episode.

I think I'm more excited by the fact that it's rigged and moves with a skeletal structure. That is so cool!

As always nice work.

You're welcome. It's a great take on a classic TOS episode.

Gisteron [2011-09-28 18:20:14 +0000 UTC]

If i'd do it, i'd make the hand more ghost-ish, maybe a transparency channel with incidence angle dependant gradient as input parameter. nonetheless, nice work.

I wanted it to look like in the original footage. It was quite solid, actually.
