One of my favourite scenes in the whole series of the movies.
"...Kirk. You do this. You'll never sit in the Captain's chair again."
..."Warp speed."

If he hadn't done it, the cost would have been his soul. And things like this are what makes Kirk the greatest Captain ever!

Hi! I was wondering if I would be able to use this image for an online blog article about Starfleet that I'm writing? Would appreciate it, it's really well done!

I loved that moment! And, Let's face it: That Captain of the NX-2000 was some one who realy asked for this. I mean: You love to hate him. Right?

You know what would have been worse? White gloves he isn't actually wearing just holding in his hand, to tell people that he is the man.

Yes, good morning Captain! That part always makes me giggle. I guess the "good morning Captain" could be a standard reboot message (like the "welcome" screen on Windows), but I always like to think Scotty typed it in on purpose as a bit of mischief!
This is a great pic, of course!

The Retrofitted Enterprise NCC-1701 from the original Star Trek Films, will always be my favorite version.
It was the perfect design of the original series and the films.

I actually read that The Enterprise-A was also destroyed when she was Decommissioned she was fitted with disrupters and was drafted as a part of a for a solar system defense force. But a Starfleet admiral with a beef against Kirk wanted the Enterprise Destroyed in a Live fire test, eventually the admiral Destroyed the Enterprise-A in an act of revenge. It should also be noted that the ships Designation was changed to Enterprise without any Registration numbers or registry prefix, just plain Enterprise...

I actually cried when the Enterprise was destroyed and she burned up in the atomsphere of The Genesis Planet.

Well the Enterprise A is a refreshing reminder of her. It`s too bad she got really powned in Star Trek VI.
The Klingon Bird of Prey is in my opinion WAY overated. the reason it powned her was because it can fir cloaked granted but come ON!
In Generations Enterprise D getting powned by one? REALLY? Even Picard said "They are probably wondering if a 40 year old bird of prey is a match for the Federation flagship"
He was right! A Galaxy CAN and WILL blow a Klingon bird of Prey to ashes! Its too bad those Dolt sisters got the shield frequency which was stupid! WHY have THAT in plain sight?

Yes Soran did it actually but still it would be VERY stupid to put the Shield modulation frequency in an OPEN terminal lioke it WAS! It SHOULD have been encrypted into the Enterprise computer net specifically the Security band with Worf!

The Enterprise-E was built with encryption software in her computer core. I hope the Enterprise-D had McAfee VirusScan,
