After the b/w phaser, I really wanted to do the more famous version. I had massive problems with it, with both my NanoDLP unit giving up on me and the sub-par resin I got. So the end result is not as smooth and crisp as the first one, but for a midgrade prop, I think it still holds up.Modelled and printed by me, using 3DS Max and Wanhao Duplicator 7 resin printer

Always liked this model, looks like something that can be used, not the dustbusters that TNG used, or the snake ones they did in later trek, and sure don't see how they went from the phase pistol to this beauty.

I think they didn't want the TNG phasers to look too militaristic. But we know TNG sucked in many regards, so...
