Home was feeling pretty tense and Jamie was excited about returning to Norway with Rán as both a familiar challenge and an escape. He felt a swell of pride as he tacked Rán up for the morning hunt, the mare was fit as anything her muscles rippling beneath her red coat.

Tacking up the chestnut mare in the morning light he spoke with some of the other members of Team E, "Gotta Catch 'Em All", and some of the other riders who were all at least partly awake as they prepared their mounts for the ride out. Unlike last years hunt Jamie was actually social, he chatted more easily with the other members or his team, talking with Flynn and checking out his cute pale mare as he mounted up on Rán.

Keeping an eye on the irritable mare Jamie made sure he kept her temper and teeth in check, hooves out of reach of any of the other horses. He really should have put a red ribbon on her... lesson for next time I guess.
Double checking his packs and ropes Jamie called to Vermont letting her know that he and Rán were ready to go when everyone else was.
