Yeah i like the energy of this werewolf, its like he'd rather play fetch instead of tearing your throat out.
Wow im really touched that you would even be inspired to write from one of my pictures! Thanks for such a wonderful compliment. (-:

Fun use of creative perspective & proportions...top-heavy weres with super-wolfy heads seem to be all the rage in recent works, so props for at least kicking it slightly old-school with that blunt, vaguely Sasquatch-y mug. Oh, and I also dig the sense of impish merriment you've meshed seamlessly with this guy's impressive chompers. I'd be happy to hook this pup up with a couple back issues, provided he's housebroken (or at least didn't break too much coming & going).

LOL thanks ever so much for a fabulous comment. Its always great to hear your opinion.
As for the werewolf it was actually a thank you drawing I did for a publisher friend, he owns the original (hence it being a werewolf with a penchant for printed matter.)
In fact the werewolf has issues, he loves to take peoples horror magazines and comics, so thanks for your offer to supply him, it maybe obvious, but please note- he only cares for MONTHLY titles.

Well, I'm more/less current with Hellboy, so just have him knock on (not in) my second-story window at whatever unholy hour suits his schedule.

His hairiness and me both , really love The Goon at the moment. Only liked Mignola Hellboy, not tasted any other flavors, oh wait there was some tasty tasty issues with added ingredient of Corben , that was yummy too.

Crazy you mention Corben. I first stumbled across his work in, of all things, a lycanthrope-centric collection of shorts from his 70's horror-mag work. Lordy, what a pro-and his HB collaborations were pretty top-grade. Incidentally, while the guy he tapped for most of the recent continuity wasn't bad, I do believe Mignola's retaking the helm for Hellboy's upcoming trek through the ol' hometown (i.e. the first half of his name).
Ah, and Goon is distilled pulp-noir dynamite with a side of curdled dark comedy. Another one I've discovered & devoured late.

Yeah, that's what initially caught my eye on this one. The fact that he didn't look like all the other werewolves out there. It cracked me up, how he has that giant top half and those teeny-tiny little legs.

THE most logical colour for a werewolf! Purple of the night, purple haze, purple rain.......if it's good enough fer the pope...eh?

LOL i agree and are you telling me that the Popes is quite possibly a wolfman?
π: 0 β©: 1
Chyme12 In reply to TheGurch [2012-04-10 20:51:10 +0000 UTC]
He is far, far worse than the lycanthropic beasts that stalk the nether world. He is the wolf disguised as the lamb!
google a book called 'wind swept house' and see that what I say is more than folk tales.

this feels like one of those quirky drawings you used to get in the 80s. like you used to have for movies like "the fearless vampire slayers" so its easy to see him running off with a pair of panties and a silluette of a woman in the background screaming... just a thought. besides that. really good execution
