Shogo answering the tough questions...

In honor of X-Men '97 I HAD to post my design for arguably the most 90s X-character of all, the millennial-yet-also-part-of-Generation X herself, Ms. Jubilation Lee -- JUBILEE!

Simple one today -- not a whole lot new here overall since, like her quintessentially 90s co-star Gambit, she's more or less stuck to the same general look. Mostly, I just streamlined the design to combine normal everyday clothes with more athletic/superheroic stuff -- as if she's finally gotten her own official "Graduation" X-costume but wanted to retain her OG ensemble's look. I based her face on Chen Songling, a Hong Kong actress who had the exact hair & expression I wanted (as seen in the comparison pic in slide 6!

Shorts are stretchy-fitted instead of rolled up jeans; she has Converse-style boots instead of her usual generic boots; her gloves now go up her full arms & are fingerless to facilitate shooting her pyrotechnic plasmoids (even if she doesn't canonically need that, they're cool!); & lastly, her X-motifs are the coat's x-yoke & the logo on her Chucks, though you can see I originally had a simple X-badge on her shirt in the "Bored" sketches. For Shogo, he's wearing a Lockheed onesie (because dragons!) & his mom's old Generation X belt -- the sparkle effect is an Otherworld enchantment that let's him fly around for short periods as a gift from the Braddocks.
