With a resurgence in popularity following his appearance in X-Men '97 (I assume), it was only logical to follow up Jubilee with the man with a plan wrapped in another plan, Roberto Da Costa -- SUNSPOT!

I wanted to hit every major aspect of Robert's history in one costume & since a LOT of his history deals with either his wealthy background, corporate experience, or leadership positions within secret agencies/societies, I went with a fancier-than-usual design -- something that wouldn't be out of place at a Hellfire Gala. WHITE & BLACK "LORD IMPERIAL" SUIT: The color scheme of the suit recalls his time as Lord Imperial of the Hellfire Club & is reminiscent of various 007 tuxedos to match the spy flair he adopted while leader of A.I.M. & U.S.Avengers

X-LAPELS: His lapels form his X-motif, exactly like my Boom-Boom design's blazer.

"RED TRIANGLE" POCKET SQUARE: His pocket square forms a visual red triangle in reference to the anti-mind control techniques Xavier taught him -- shout out to Al Ewing! -- & to a lesser extent his red X-Force outfits.

VEST COAST AVENGER: The vest's back logo is the one he used while as an Avenger -- shout out to Jonathan Hickman!

MAGNUM P.I. DRESS SHIRT: His shirt is painstakingly near-exact replica of one worn by Tom Selleck in Magnum P.I., his favorite show of all time -- shout out to Chris Claremont! -- albeit in the X-Men gold & blue and with long sleeves for when he wears the suit jacket. The gold shirt with black pants also recalls his old New Mutants uniform.

A.I.M. R&D MATERIALS: Does a suit seem impractical for superheroics? Perhaps... but that's why it's made out of a blend of unstable molecules & proprietary A.I.M. R&D materials. Also, fashion.

SHIRTLESS: Because he wouldn't waste the chance to show off especially in Rio. "Ladies?" - Robert Da Costa, probably

McLEOD/SIENKIEWICZ FACE: No real world face reference this time, mostly just inspired by his early depictions -- shout out to Bob McLeod & Bill Sienkiewicz!
