It's myself as Shanoa, from Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia.We got a lot of good back shots that day and I want to use many of them.
Many have asked--how did I make that marking on my back? Nowadays we use ink and stencil. On the day of this photo--we used nothing. We took this photo before a clear image of Shanoa's back was released. So, yes. I Photoshopped this one. But I couldn't stand inaccuracy and a good day for photos had come before I could be accurate. Only a few days later, more clear art was released!
I'm probably highly deficient in Vitamin D.
Edit 12/10: Wow! I get more views of this than anything. I do more cosplay than this! And I kind of make art? Thanks for the views, though. I really am happy people at least want to look at this.

Admittedly, the distance does obscure it somewhat, but the tattoos look absolutely awesome! If you don't mind sharing your secrets, how did you pull that off?

I guess I should put my secret regarding the back markings in my description since I get asked about it every few days! The secret is admitted once or twice in the previous comments. I am working on and off on a even better technique that I can actually photograph closely.

Thank you! I do try to keep myself pasty! As for the glyph...I am sad to admit that it took a few minutes of me drawing it on Photoshop. Fail...I know. At the time the photo had been taken, I wasn't sure if there were any good images of the glyph out there yet and I wanted to be accurate. I have had it drawn it fairly well for a convention with the use of a certain secret weapon (a fairly toxic ink). But I am currently making a stencil and experimenting with better inks!

Huh... I'd never of noticed it was editted on post-shooting.
Well if you're planning on applying onto yourself, inks are the way to go. Just... find a nice quality one, or it might run down or stain you

Great costume, I love the photo as well! That game is made of gothicness, a little smile, and win! I won't give anything away, but in my opinion the ending really made the game worth it.
If I had any skill with costume making, I would cosplay Shanoa from Castlevania Judgement [url=[link] She looks like a nun and the outfit would be really complex. I know what I would have to do, but it's easier said than done.
If you didn't already, know the armor she wears is black, but I don't know if that helps at all.

Thanks! Yes, I've seen the Castlevania Judgement art. Honestly, I'm a little "hmmm" about the designs, though I respect the artist's work a lot. I think Shanoa's design might make an interesting costume, though. It would be neat to see it!

She's my favorite so any cosplay is amazing. Judgement Shanoa is one of my cosplay aspirations, but it probably won't happen since I can't sew...

I can't sew, either! It just takes some sewing tools, and a will to get something done and something close to what you hope for will appear. It would be interesting to see the Judgement Shanoa as cosplay!

Wow, simply wow! It's a great job, the setting rocks! Another pose that would have been sweet is the "glyph-absorbing" pause, where she turns to the side to show her tatoo while holding her hair up.

Good choice of setting, but then again cemetery scenes are always welcome in Castlevania.

Yes, cemeteries are an obvious and awesome place for Castlevania cosplay.
That glyph had to be drawn in after the photo was taken. But during the maiden voyage at a convention, we used used ink and drew it on. Up until a few days ago, I wasn't really certain about the details of the design and didn't want to be making a stencil when I was so unsure.
