We don't know a ton about Zelda, but I consider her to be a role model as well. Dressing as her was somewhat tranformative. I even learned to like pink. XD

Thank you! I feel the same. I think plain poses can be OK, especially for showing off craftsmanship. However, I really enjoy it most when the model thinks like the character. For me, being the role is part of the fun!

You don't merely look like Zelda with the costume, make up, blah blah. You have the essence of emotion and feeling put into a character, a role.

The way you are in this picture looks the same you can easily be in real life, but that you happen to be wearing this outfit.

You are a true princess.

I am about middle range when it comes to cosplay skill, however, one thing I think I do very well with is choosing costumes that suit different aspects of my personality and usually I would choose them for my compatibility with their appearance. I see very popular, almost celebrity status cosplayers who make incredible costumes, are sometimes very attractive people, but the roles they are trying to wear at least in my eyes do not suit them so well. I have had contact with some of these people. I do not say this out of meanness at all--I think they still deserve a lot of attention for their amazing work. But I see a character that represents a part of me, I try extract that part and make it pure when I wear a costume. If I am Zelda, I will naturally do nothing crude. I am like Zelda, but I am not, too. If you catch me on another day, I may only look like her, be wearing pink and my hair in a similar way--and act in a way that might be the complete opposite of how we think of her. People are interesting because they can be so multifaceted. I guess it would be interesting to be an actor and maybe to take a few facets and break them off and use them alone. Cosplay can be like that, too.

That was very well said I agree with both of you. Part of what makes a cosplay great is acting the part, putting a pit of you in it, and the emotion. You want to do a character that reminds you of you in a way..or what's the best of you at times.

Wisdom is with studing. Not only books but people. I see you as a very a smart, wise, fun loving, always up to learning, meeting new people, trusting, and beautiful. Very much like Zelda.

I suppose it would be fine if you used this as a reference. But if you make it fairly close to the original (even if the composition is reversed--I've seen that on DA!) and choose to upload it, I do request that you show the source through a link.
