I have loved The Legend of Zelda video game series since I was like 4 or 5-- whenever I first saw that gold cartridge popped into my NES.Recently on the Bendis Boards, they had a weekly sketch group topic: Link. I couldn't pass it up. I had never drawn the character before this little scribble, and I'm pretty blasted impressed with how well my style seems to fit the character-- it even looks fairly on-model! Crazytown.
Anyhoo, enjoy-- I had some of the most fun I've EVER had drawing this up in the, what-- 20 minutes it took to throw the blue lead at the page? Hope you enjoy it, too.

Very cool take on Link! I love all the little details on his outfit...I like how you show all the stitching on the tunic, and I like the chainmail.
I like the composition and feel of the pic. It has a sense of adventure in the pose and expression, but also a lighthearted feel that I think captures the essence of the Zelda games....At least the older ones that I've played. XP
I really like his expression. I love the mildly cartoony but determined expression.

Thanks, Bob-- I'm the same way, which is why I typically tag-team the game with Kelly. We switch off on playing it so we don't get too frustrated or whatever else.
