Description I finally took myself together and created a new tutorial

I am sorry this it´s so long! I hope you don´t think it´s boring I tried to make small "chapters" in it, so then you can skip over stuff that you aren´t interested in.

The reason I made this tutorial, (or what to call it) is that I very often get the same questions over and over again, and since I don´t always have the time to answer all my messages, I thought it would be a good idea to make this.

I truly hope you find it useful/like it.
Feel free to ask if you have any questions related to this.

btw, you should write that the cheaper copic has a soft tip while the other has a hard tip. It makes a lot of difference using different tips (you can buy the tips without pen, too)

This really makes me want to find some art supply store and buy what I can. This might be a stupid question, but CAN you find the majority of these things at an art store, or do you actually have to order them and get them shipped?

Nice to hear! Good luck with you shopping!
I decided to only show brands that are to be found in most countries. Real art-stores should have these brands, (or else somethings wrong! XD) if not, then it´s not impossible to find them on the internet.

Thanks!
Well, thank you for that then, it makes looking for the stuff SO much easier. Sounds simple enough...then again, it's me, who never seems to have that kind of luck. XD

No problem at all
Yeah. It is also nice to actually touch and study the materials before buying them. Most of the art-supply-stores let yoy try out some of the pens etc. So then you´re sure you´ll get what you´re looking for ^__^

Really?! I've never seen places that do that! Though I've also never been to an art store...I never really thought of getting serious with art in any way.

Yeah, some of the stores where they sell special materials, and pro stuff. (Well at least that´s my experience from the stores I come in)
Ah I see I hope you´ll find what you´re looking for ^^

Wow. All these years I've passed the few art stores I knew of, I didn't know they sold such amazing stuff. XD
Thanks, I hope so too!

Hahaha yeah, I felt like that too, a few years ago. It is also kinda new for me using pro-materials

zerosilver In reply to TheKarelia [2010-05-31 17:53:17 +0000 UTC]

Really? It seems like you'd have been using them for such a long time, judging by how your art looks.

TheKarelia In reply to zerosilver [2010-06-01 13:40:39 +0000 UTC]

Yup I didn´t have money for pro materials, plus I wasn´t as serious with my art, that I am now
Aww that was very sweet said! I´m happy you think so ^^

zerosilver In reply to TheKarelia [2010-06-01 21:57:31 +0000 UTC]

So how long has it been since you started using them? If it was some time after I started watching you, you must've been pretty good with non-professional materials too, since I hardly noticed the difference, if I did at all as you improved.
Well, it's true!

TheKarelia In reply to zerosilver [2010-06-03 15:14:18 +0000 UTC]

Hmm, that´s a good question. Hmm, I am not so sure, but I believe I started using pro-materials in the start of 2009

If you're lucky you have an art supply store nearby, like an Aaron's Brothers or Michaels Arts & Crafts. But even those two stores wouldn't have everything...
The copics would probably be the hard find and I can't be sure you'd find the exact brands here.
If you can try to find an arts and crafts store or maybe even a scrapbooking place to find some of these supplies. Onward to Yellow Pages.

I've heard of Michaels, but never actually seen one. So I'm not sure where to find one of those places, but I'm looking, still.
Yeah, I figured they'd be harder since the first time I even heard of them was on DA when people started saying the used copic markers. XD
Haha, thank you for the info! I think I'd have best luck with those Yellow Pages. XD
