Well when the big E found him Angron said no and went on to fight and die alongside his family but just before the battle was fought Emps just up and teleports him to the ship in orbit and he let Angron watch as his family was slaughtered to the last man. Well that's the gust of it may have missed a detail of two but that's pretty much how the big E fucked up.
