and i've admired your lovely face so often, and for so long, maybe it's only fair you can put a face to me for once.
I map aboriginal rights and title... I'm one of Canada's foremost aboriginal mappers, especially within the legal/political frameworks of aboriginal rights and title...
I map cultural features such as summer camps, winter camps, fishing sites. archaeological features, culturally modified trees, all kinds of areas... points, lines and areas, actually.

sounds like a wonderful line of work--do you love it? i bet you can at least be outside a lot, eh? so by aboriginal, are you speaking of what I would call here in america native americans? i suppose in canada the term aboriginal is more appropriate. or, am i way off here and you are speaking of something else entirely? also, i was wondering if you have heard of sherman alexie? as you are a writer yourself, i think you would enjoy him. right now i'm trying to get through "reservation blues" but i have read many of his short stories and poems. i looooove him. well mr mapper, it is always great to converse with such an inspired soul as yourself.

Yes, that term means the same thing as native american, though I am only a half-er.
I do like it, though once again, having got good at something, I find I am now doing much more administrative work than mapping. And I no longer work in or even near my home community. No work in the area, and so I have taken a job about 500 miles, or 800 kilometers away from my home.
I enjoy spending time with you too.
