Description Ah, Bojack Horseman. Oddly enough, I feel a bit nostalgic for this show. When I was watching it, times were a lot simpler. Maybe not better so to speak, but I definitely had to worry about less than I do now. I’ve been procrastinating on this show quite a bit because honestly, it reminded me of stuff I wouldn’t like to remember. Now that I’m finally finished with the show, I would like to write a sort of...well, not a full fledged and structured review. I’m really not feeling up to one. It’s not burnout, it’s just life is a bit stressful right now and I don’t want to spend hours on a scorecard very few people will look at. I think Bojack is a big mixed bag filled with a ton of interesting qualities. It’s a surprisingly funny show that uses irony well, the plots are usually creative as well as the backstories, and I like the satire it can do in episodes like Hank After Dark. I’m more mixed on the characters. Most of them are just assholes for 4-5 seasons before finally changing, and this worked in the first season due to the show’s more comedic tone, and I will admit their development is interesting. However, it’s very boring watching flawed characters continue to be flawed, since the whole point of a flawed character in these types of shows is to realize and change their flaws. This is most prominent with the show’s main character, Bojack, who evades the consequences of his actions for 5 seasons, and whenever he does something bad it’s apparently not his fault. I think the show’s main problem is that it has so many grand ideas, but flounders on almost every single one of them because it doesn’t understand how its characters, conflicts, and plots are supposed to work. Again, I’m sorry if this doesn’t seem coherent, but to sum up Bojack, it would be a mixed bag of wasted potential that doesn't know what it wants to be.

Honestly, I never see Bojack as the greatest adult cartoon ever. I mean, it does feel like an actual adult cartoon, but I'm not really into dramatic and tragic stories that much.

Wow... these opinions. Most of the episodes of BoJack in your bottom 10 are actually considered among the best. But I do think "Escape From L.A." is overrated despite its overall quality. I recommend reading my journal entries on seasons 1 and 2 for more information.

Naming a top list for this show isn't easy, so I will name the "worst" and best from each season:
Worst (or something like it): BoJack Hates the Troops, Yes And, Old Acquaintance, Commence Fracking, BoJack the Feminist
Best: Downer Ending, Hank After Dark/The Shot, Fish Out of Water, Time's Arrow/What Time Is It Right Now?, Free Churro (really)

Would it be okay with you if I added this to a forum on "How NOT to review a series"?

No. If you want me to go into more detail because you’re confused, I can. I was just lazy when I was writing the description.

I'm not confused, I understand all your nitpicks and points, it's just this grading system is terrible and should be avoided by ALL future reviewers.

Just because you find it terrible, it doesn't mean everyone else has to follow what you think. Though I completely understand why you dislike it and that's completely fine, but it doesn't mean you force others

Bruh. It's not forcing others, it's just sharing my opinion on how NOT to review on a forum, but it's fine.

Ah, I thought from you saying such rating systems should be avoided by others, it means others should not use it at all. Also, I don't mind your opinions, you have to right to like something or not and express it.

You mean my rating system? I sorta agree. It’s kinda confusing to people unfamiliar with it and even confuses me something. It works for me though. But still, no.

The grading system here is laughably stupid although I get some of your points, even agreeing with some of them.

thereviewer20 in general is really easy to please

like even the smallest nitpicks are big issues to him he also likes to overuse words like edgy since apparently everything being edgy is automaticly bad to him

Good scorecard of yours. Even before I read this review, I just feel like the "Great" guess on this show from my perspective wasn't enough as I did smell some unfair mean-spiritedness on the way alongside a confusing, all over the place tone within this show like you pointed out, and typical, dull, and ugly flash animation.
