You could pretty much stop at 3 - but I've always been told to take it that little bit further - some people love it - some people hate it!

The gradient stage is like the flat colour stage - I just tend to use gradients more than just a flat colour - my personal preference!

Then the next stage is to make your cuts and use a brush to add highlights to the piece - that's probably the funnest part - you could even leave the piece at the 3rd stage and say it's done, however I like to push it and I end up with the 4th stage!

That's pretty much my finished style!
