how do you get metal like that for one !!!

well first i start with my flat color, and color in all the metal that is going to be a certain color with the darkest shade of grey or gold or whatever....i usually use 3 shades, the shadow tone which goes first the medium tone which goes 2nd and then finally the highlight tone.
so i ad all my dark tone, and basically cut out the section that will be metal on the image, then select that layer and lock the transparency. that's the first icon on the left at the top of the layers pallette. this allows me to paint on that layer without going over into the "non-metal" area with my medium and highlight tones. once i've added the medium tone, i gently ad the highlight tone, which is never truly white, but pretty close, depending on the lighting of your image. after all my color is down, i use the smudge tool and lightly smear the dark tone into the medium tone and the medium tone into the highlight tone. After that, depending on the metal i'll make a new layer on top of that one, and use a "star burst" brush at a size that would match the glow that would be given off by the metal. strategically place a few single bursts and maybe ad some highlight on the very edge of where the metal would shine and violla! instant metal.

it looks great, did you add the various shine and chrome affects aswell? the shading and everything is nice and smooth, while the colors are very crisp and clean. very colorfull, but not too crayony. nice!
