Description
This piece is a Tier 3 commission for the musician, Exiark (aka SoundSparkPony). The original artist of this piece is StePanda, from whom this piece was also commissioned by Exiark.[EDIT] I decided to create a higher-quality with a better loop and music, which can be found on my youtube .
This was created using a combination of methods in Adobe Photoshop, Desktop Paints Animator and Adobe After Effects.

the gif looks a bit fast compared to the video version as well chopped off XDΒ
but the video version looks really nice ^^

Yeah, usually my gifs come straight from DP animator and are a little better quality than this. This one though, was made in After Effects, exported to video, then imported as frames to GIMP and then saved as a gif. and because the original is 1440p at 30fps, it was huge, so I cut out half the frames, resulting in a bit faster playback speed. I'm always loking for a way to make better quality gifs though.

hmm when i make my cutiemark thingies, i also make a video file
then import this into photoshop and export this as a gif.Β
another method would be to make a swf (flash movie) out of it and uploading it here
this would be the best quality XD and gifs and swf can have 200MB as far as i know sooo

I tried exporting from Photoshop, but the quality reduction was horrible. I'll have to look in to what other formats AE can export as. as of right now I prefer H.264 (or whatever it's called that makes a .mp4) as it tends to be smaller file size than .avi and about the same quality.

yeah h.264 is the format for every video out there because its so smallΒ
but yet with a good quality. the base video is a .mov format and massive XDΒ
but then again. gif destroys nearly every detail anyway XD especially transparency XD
gif needs a real rebirth someday. with more than 256 colors and transparancy...

I talked with someone on Derpi (maybe even you?) about interlaced PNG sequences but I've never gotten them to display properly in a browser, much less know how to make one.

well there is a thing called apng (animated png) but thats really spread andΒ
i dont have a programm for that. plus google chrome doenst even support it.Β
you need a plugin for your browser to see it. otherwise you just see a single image.Β
