Hi, Do you have an interest in Photography, either in shooting or post-processing?

QUESTION: did you post-process this shot?

The composition and modeling are excellent. Having interesting things in the background aids in overall composition. However, you need to be careful of letting your background object(s) overcome or upstage the model. The model should always be the most interesting thing in the shot, LOL.

From a photography standpoint, this shot is overexposed. If this was done in post-processing, I can tell you how to correct it (assuming you kept the original—something you should always do). Let me know if you want to know how to prevent blowout in post-processing.

It is really important to avoid blowout and burnout if you want to be able to sell photographs are have them commercially viable. Blowout and burnout is especially a big issue when translated to print media, like in large prints, magazines, art books, etc.

When outside, you want to avoid shooting at any shiny or reflective surfaces. If your camera has a "Threshold" Mode, it will show you where blowout is happening, allowing you to decrease exposure until it goes away. The resulting shot will be underexposed, but this is typically easily corrected in post-processing.

There is very little you can do to correct blowout, since there are no pixels to adjust. I used to charge a hefty fee for such fixes because I have to literally hand paint in the details, blend, add a wee bit of noise, etc. It is time intensive if there is a lot of it.

This is my favorite of the group. Not quite stoic, but definately a little mysterious.
