This is my first and probably only tutorial. But I remember whnI didn't have a tablet that your options for manes/tails were low so I figured I'd share my old ways. I made it download-able so please don't rip me off, I don't mind if you post it some where else but plese don't claim it as your own. Thanks.

Ps. sorry for my crappy spelling, as funny as it is I'm 20 and I can't spell to save my life!

If you guys have any questions just ask!

Here are Arrsistable's brushes I referred to Enhancement Brushes .

I have tried this with a mouse, and i have a problem with the brushes, when I use them, it looks like a whole bunch of dots, not flowing lines like yours.

I had the same problem for a while... Drag them. Click and drag. That's the solution.

what exactly is a tablet, and how could i buy one?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Thetalkingmutex In reply to CanChaser4221 [2009-07-10 18:56:15 +0000 UTC]

This: [link] is a tablet.
You can buy them in most computer stores like Staples and The Source (in Canada).
Of course they are also availible on the interest and are often cheaper if you go that route but you are still looking at over $100.00 for one. You can try Ebay to for a used one.

I've started painting on my own manes and was wondering, is it easier to use the brushes you mentioned above in the tutorial, or the single brush that photoshop gives you?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Thetalkingmutex In reply to tysmommy [2009-03-24 23:20:53 +0000 UTC]

Um I found Arris's brushes to be a little easier because they are designed for mane painting.
I really only mentioned the other ones for people who can't use the brushes but I'd suggest trying both and see what you find easier.

Hmmm, well I think I will download me some. Haha.
Are they compatible with Photoshop 7.0?

Thetalkingmutex In reply to tysmommy [2009-03-25 00:36:42 +0000 UTC]

They should but the best why to find out is to give it a try.
Give it a whirl [link] lol

Well there is one option, you could download a newer version of Adobe.
I used to have Adobe PhotoDeluxe 3.0 until about six months ago, and believe me my old Adobe is very simple - my open manips prove it [link]

Wow. It's changed so much! The only thing is that I don't want to spend tons of money on photoshop because I just use it for fun, mainly.
