Description
Shaya, four years old, went swimming in the ocean one day, when something wrapped around her leg and pulled on her. She struggled to keep her head above the water, but was dragged under the waves with no time to hold her breath. An octopus was wrapping its tentacles around little Shaya's limbs and descended deep into the ocean. Soon, the frightened young girl was pulled down to beyond her swimming limits. Even if the octopus decided to let her go, Shaya felt that she could not possibly swim up to the surface. Made entirely with Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.Reference used is artwork belonging to Atelier Wadatsumi who had seemingly retired at the time this was uploaded, but has since apparently come out of retirement.

Coming to think of it, I made out a preliminary timeline:
1. Capturing by an octopus, then barely getting out alive
2. Trying to swim to shore, but failing
3. Sinking... it's really drastic.

I mentioned here that if little Shaya was released, she'd likely stay where she is and accept her fate, believing that she's down too deep to swim to the surface for her age.

A girl is swimming deep underwater, enjoying the underwater scenery. She is about to swim up to get some air when she sees an octopus dragging a girl down. Immediately she swims towards it, not adhering to her body's need of air.

She swims towards Shaya, but she finds the octopus also trying to grab her. She dodges some of its attacks and swims towarss her, cutting away any approaching tentacles.

The octopus is in pain from losing a few tentacles and is forced to release Shaya and retreat. Shaya is left floating, but is miserable.
