Description
Buitreraptor gonzalezorum is a specialized dromaeosaurid from Late Cretaceous of Argentina. Its generic name comes from La Buitrera (literally "the vulture place"), where its fossils were found.
With an estimated weight of about 3 kg, Buitreraptor was the size of a large chicken; this theropod is classified in the subfamily Unenlagiinae, whose most striking features are the relatively long and flexible neck and the narrow, elongated skull.
Buitreraptor probably preyed upon small aquatic animal such as fish, primitive frogs and invertebrates; its lifestyle was probably somewhat similar to that of modern day wading birds.

A dinosaut that finally resembles a more of a bird than any kyher dinosaur in the fossil record. That's something you don't see often. Dromeosaurs are ways seen as the most bird like of dinosaurs, but if you look at some dromeos like that of the classic velociraptor, you still see some traits that are very reptile like, even with the feathers added, mostly the skeleton. The skull especially looked more like a cross between a lizard and a bird. This one however, lookes like it's skull has a beak attached to it.
