Description

So, here are the first results of the Dinovember 2019 challenge (my first challenge ever, by the way).

Day 1. Hadrosauroidea: portrait of Parasaurolophus cyrtocristatus. Parasaurolophus has been one of the favorite hadrosaurs since childhood. I decided to choose a less "stereotypical" look.

Day 2. Alvarezsauroidea: most recently described Nemegtonykus citus, described from two specimens, shedding light on the diversity of alvarezsaurs of the Nemegtskaya Svita.

Day 3. Deinonychosauria: unenlagiine Buitreraptor gonzalezorum, swallowing a small specimen of the primitive snake Najash. The very long snout and extremely small unserrated teeth indicate a diet consisting of small and dodgy animals.

Day 4. Therizinosauria: the early Cretaceous Jianchangosaurus yixianensis runs through shallow water. One of the most primitive therizinosaurs, Jianchangosaurus is the most cursorially adapted in its clade, having a tibia noticeably longer than the femur.

Day 5. Dilophosauridae: portrait of Dracovenator regenti, a South African relative of the famous Dilophosaurus.

Day 6. Compsognathidae: Compsognathus longipes, exhibiting cannibalism towards the young of its species. I don't remember anyone portraying compsognathid as cannibals, so this would be an original representation of a unoriginal taxon.

Next up is the next batch of drawings for the challenge. #Dinovember #DrawDinovember #Dinovember2019

It's always nice to see how even in sketches you manage to give the impression of lots of details with only some minor lines. I'm very jealous of how you draw your feathers and skin wrinkles.
