  "What? You said you were in there because you were in denial,but how can I know that's true?" She began backing up, away from Alex.

   "Please, Elle, you have to believe me." Alex pleaded. He didn't want to lose his only friend.

    "How can I trust you? Oh God...what did you do to your family?" she backed against the wall. Alex came closer to her.

   "Nothing! I had to defend Mom or else...." he paused. He realized he wasn't getting through to Elle. How could she change her opinion of him so quickly? It made him upset,but it made him angry as well.

"Forget it, just, nevermind.....I'll leave you alone. Have fun with your new life...." Alex rushed out of the house.

   Elle fell to her knees. She couldn't believe anything anymore. He was her best friend and yet...she pushed him away. How...how could she? Why did she? Didn't she promise him she'd always be there? She hated herself.

   He had no where to go. He stopped in the familiar park and sat on the swings.. He used to help Josh catch bugs out here...does he still collect bugs?

   "Alex...." a soft voice broke the silence. Josh sat on the swing next to his.

   "Hey."

   "I'm sorry Alex." Josh exhaled.

    "It isn't your fault."

    "I kinda feel like it is. I'm just.....I don't understand why people are so mean to you. It isn't fair!" Josh stood in front of Alex. "Why do people treat you so badly? You don't deserve it!" The younger of the brothers began crying.

   The sight made Alex's chest tighten. He grabbed his younger brother in a tight embrace. Squeezing him gently. He loved his brother so much. He would do anything for him.

   "I love you, Alex." Josh cried out between tears.

   "I love you to, buddy." Alex choked back tears,but caved and began to cry.
