Say, if Balto was such an enormously celebrated hero by the end of the original movie, even despite his wolvish blood, then why was his daughter Aleu rejected by the townspeople? Does the sequel mean to suggest to us that, even after all of those heroic self-sacrificing ordeals he put himself through, they simply allowed him to go back to freezing his tail off in a dilapidated old shipwreck year after year?"Oh Balto, what a spectacular dog you are for saving the children of Nome from certain death! Good boy, good boy! Ah, but I hope you do still realize that you'll always be a filthy half-bred outcast, though. Sorry Fido, we don't make the rules, we just abide by them like everyone else. you he really isn't the real dog who saved Nome. It was actually a female called kiva or something. she was the one who ran most of the way. Balto only brought the medicine into none the last few miles. But the cartoon Balto IS epic. heheh

I thought no one wanted Alue because she looked like a wolf like Balto, while her sisters and brothers all looked like huskeys like Jenna. Wolves are dangerous, and the people of Nome dont trust them. One good deed of one lone wolf wasnt enough to change that I guess.
Man i miss these movies. I really need to watch them again.

Excellent reinterpretation of of Alue
She was so ugly at times *mainly cause of the bad animation!*
But I totally understand your point. The movie had an okay story at first, but it got ruined by the lack of budget and half-ass effort!
Flaws: Bad voice acting, terrible dialogue, poor character development, very cheap and unsteady animation!
But on the up side not such a bad soundtrack *could have done without the songs though*.... How'd that slide through? o_O'
This movie just needs to be REMADE!!!! *Cause after all, they did do a better job with #3!*
There should be a bigger reason for Alue to not have been adopted! Cause any child *who had been saved by Balto* should have adopted her in a heart beat! Was she too violent?... Not really... WHAT!?.................. Just the whole "Oh, she looks like a nasty wolf... I'll get this normal looking puppy instead".... Those bastards... If they still act that way maybe Balto shouldn't have saved them after all. *Boy that was dark*
Borris and The polar Bears were useless, and Jenna didn't have much part either! FUCK!.............And WTF is Balto's problem?! All he does is sleep and baby his daughter... and not in a cute way!..... Same goes for Alue! WTF is her problem!....She clearly had no brains when she was faced with a hunter who was pointing a gun straight at HER! "Oh, a human he wouldn't hurt me... Hmmm, he's pointing a gun at me... He must like me *runs for him*"
If she didn't see the gun, then it would probably make more scenes.... But NO.
And after her dad saves her she is clearly unfazed by the incident.... and start bull-shitting to her dad because she found out she was "part-wolf"... Wow she seems more mad about her heritage than realizing how stupid she was to run straight towards a hunter!
The spirits "thing was cool... But it didn't really help much with Balto or Alue's journey
... or the story for that matter. Sure Alue matures a bit... But I don't think she's ready to be alpha of a pack! The minions of Niju were knock offs of Steele's minions... Only stupider and uglier. If they were bad-ass wolves then maybe we could take them more seriously!.... No.... Nava was nice but there were blanks in his story that seemed a bit off. What was his relationship with Niju or those filler wolves that seem to stick more *the brown, silver, and black wolves in the background*? What was the connection with Aniu?!..................And Niju just SUCKED! His design was awful *looked like a fat panther rather than a wolf*, his plan as a villain was awful *we knew right off the bat that his plan was going to be a big fat fail!*... Just plain awful!
and the "humor/jokes" in the movie did not work! It just made it stupid and goofy... However adding in the Indian mythology/pattern/stuff with an interesting concept
But since this movie sucked so badly how come it still has a bigger interest than "Balto 3, wings of change" *where they actually tried to put back some effort into making it*
