September 1924:
At this point, Anthony and Jonathon were on the NWR for over a year. Not alot of things had changed, but the one thing that has changed is the arrival the NWR's new Number 4 in the later parts of August, who was named 'Gordon'. NWR Number 4 was built by the LNER in 1922 as the prototype for the entire class of LNER express engines. He was nicknamed the 'A0' when he was built. When bought by the NWR, he replaced Anthony on the express. This caused Anthony to be given Edward's work, as the old tender engine was getting too old to continue working in the directors eyes.
