When I was a kid, I used to love playing with the ERTL Die-cast trains, so as you imagine, I was sad when I heard ERTL was not going to be bringing out anymore toys for Thomas line-up. This picture shows just one of the fantasy models that were never brought out. These are known as salt wagons and the package is from the last years of the ERTL line-up.Thomas & Friends is copyright of "Hit Entertainment", "Britt AllCroft" and "Lionsgate."

Nice idea, but all ERTL models are basically not under three due to small parts breaking off and causing choking hazards.

Actually on the last set of boxes in the last years of ERTL, they actually did say 2 1/2 years, so I just went along with it.

Those are really nice. Those would have made good ERLT toys.
And I don't know why these vans are called "Salt Wagons" in the first place.
