Description

Like with Firebird, I haven’t made any changes to Kinheart’s design or name because I’m pretty happy with them as they are. Originally she was gonna be called Tough Cookie but I decided against that before posting her the first time, and I loved how I could put the word ‘kind’ in her name when she is anything but…

~~~~~
Anywhoodle!
Full Name: Kindheart
Nickname(s): N/A
Gender: Female
Species: Pegasus
Talent: Boxing
Cutie Mark: Some boxing gloves (yeah, I don’t know how they’d work for horses either)
Parents: Fluttershy and Cheerilee
Antithesis: Kindness
Now, I know some of you may be curious as to how Fluttershy, the kindest and sweetest of ponies, managed to raise the school’s resident bully. The answer to that is simple; she didn’t want her kid to grow up like she did, scared of the world and bullied by most because she was too terrified to stand up for herself. In order to avoid this, she taught her daughter to stand up for herself, to push for what she wants if she wants it, and to not let anyone boss her about. Little baby Kindheart took all of this to heart, and spent much of her young life standing up for herself and others. She was enrolled in some self-defence classes because some ponies didn’t like this and were getting physical and she needed to be able to defend herself. It’s here she discovered her talent for boxing.
It was all downhill from here, if I’m honest. See, Kindheart quickly got tired of having to constantly stand up for herself and others, because it was starting to become an everyday occurrence. As such, she decided one day to strike preemptively, taking the bullies out before they had a chance to get to her or anyone else. Of course, they left her alone for the rest of the day then, so she considered her strategy a stunning success and implemented it the next day, too. Pretty soon, she was the one beating ponies up, not the original bullies, who Kindheart decided needed a taste of their own medicine.
Now, things probably wouldn’t have been so bad if Kindheart hadn’t eventually been kicked out of school for fighting; she would have simply carried on antagonising the original bullies, and that would have been the end of it. Unfortunately, though, she was eventually determined to be too dangerous, and was thrown out. In her next school, Kindheart didn’t know anyone, but believed she could tell what they were like at a glance. She managed to fall in with slightly the wrong crowd, and resumed her bullying of kids she’d pegged as bullies themselves. Problem was, not everyone she targeted was a bully, and Kindheart ended up becoming one of the very things she used to hate the most. She didn’t see it this way, though; she thought she was being fair, and saving a lot of ponies from being bullied.
And there was something else that was going a little wrong; Kindheart started to enjoy herself immensely. See, she’d always revelled in standing up for herself, and loved the thrill of fighting once she learnt how to do it, but there was just something about making ponies feel like shit through words alone, and getting to back it up with actions, that was better than anything Kindheart had ever felt. The next time she moved schools, again kicked out for fighting and bullying, Kindheart kicked it up a notch, got herself a nice little clique, and set about terrorizing the school, always making sure to only target ponies who ‘deserved it’. But ‘deserving it’ now meant anything from ‘already being a bully themselves’ to ‘not moving out of Kindhert’s way quickly enough’.
Yah, she was a full-fledged bully now.
Because of all of this, it’s no surprise she ended up in Luna’s School for Troubled Ponies. Fluttershy cried the day she had to send her daughter there because she just couldn't see where she’d gone wrong, and couldn't believe her little girl could be so mean. Cheerilee was more chill about the whole idea; she’d seen it coming for a long time and kinda wished they’d sent her there sooner. Unlike most of the other kids, though, Kindheart doesn’t actually mind being sent to Luna’s, because she just sees it as a perfect opportunity to teach the kids in there a lesson. After all, they’re all just as bad as her, right? She can punish them all for their past actions, right?
The issue with this, though, aside from the obvious, is that not everyone in Luna’s is in there for bullying or being a menace. There are ponies in there with some rather severe problems who can’t really be taught anywhere else because those places aren’t accomodating to their anxiety or depression, or label their ADD as a problem and foist them off on the Princess of the Night because having a kid with a disorder in their class is apparently too much work. So yeah, Kindheart bullies these kid too because she doesn’t know they exist, and doesn’t care to either.
Relationships:
Fluttershy;
When she was a lot younger, Kindheart was very close with Fluttershy, and the two often went to assertiveness workshops together so they could both better learn how to stand up for themselves. Fluttershy even went to a few boxing sessions with her daughter, just to see if she was capable of doing it. She wasn’t, not by any stretch, but she tried, and she was supportive of her daughter, especially when she got her cutie mark for it. Her love for Kindheart was so all-encompassing that it blinded her to the monster her daughter was becoming, even when she was getting kicked out of schools left right and centre. Fluttershy just thought her daughter was getting in trouble for fighting bullies still, so never punished Kindheart for her actions. When she finally saw how bad Kindheart was, it broke Fluttershy’s heart, and her relationship with her daughter deteriorated a bit. She still tries to spend as much time as possible with Kindheart, and still loves her immensely, but she’s now trying to get her to stop bullying people and that’s not exactly working. Kindheart, for her part, loves her mum greatly, and would do anything for her, but thinks she doesn’t know what she’s talking about when it comes to who deserves to be kicked to the kerb and who doesn’t. It’s also literally only Fluttershy who’s safe from being yelled at, mocked, or bucked in the teeth.
Cheerilee;
Cheerilee noticed fairly early on how bad Kindheart was getting, and tried to talk her round, to make her see what she was doing was wrong, but Kindheart wasn’t having any of it. Many a shouting match were had, and Cheerilee’s relationship with her daughter pretty much broke. She still reaches out on occasion, but Kindheart isn’t having any of it. Kindheart hates how Cheerilee tries to ‘control’ (stop her bullying people) her, and is determined to fight her mother every step of the way. Because of this, the two don’t really speak too much, and Kindheart spends more time with Fluttershy anyway. Kindheart never actually starts anything with her mother, but will definitely go off at her if she suggests toning down the violence or verbal harassment. At this point, Cheerilee is willing to make up with her daughter if she takes the necessary steps to improve herself, but that willingness gets smaller and smaller every day. It might actually take a small miracle to get these two to make up.
Her Classmates;
Unsurprisingly, not many ponies like Kindheart. She always has a small clique that follow her around and help her ‘dispense justice’, but other than that, most ponies are scared of her. The only ones that aren’t are those who just aren’t bothered by the bullying, or those who are just as bad. Those that aren’t bothered by the bullying are usually left alone quickly enough because Kindheart finds them boring, but she still goes back to antagonise them whenever she doesn’t have anything better to do. Those who are just as bad will quite happily get into fights in the corridors, and keep coming back for more. Anyone else? They keep their heads down, try not to be noticed, and cry a little bit if they are.
The Other Five;
Ha, as if I’d tell you now; you’re gonna have to wait for the story
~~~~~

So that’s Kindheart! Fluttershy and Cheerilee is a pairing I’d literally never considered before, but I’m trying to pair up element with almost-element, and I think Cheerilee is kind enough to be almost-the-element-of-kindness, so she got paired with Flutters. I’m not sure if I’d ship them under normal circumstances, though.

I was wondering, when I was first designing Kindheart, if she’d actually be able to be a bully, with parents like hers, but I think I made the progression and process natural enough. I also debated having her as more of just a mean girl, but those kinds of characters annoy me, so I made her more of a stereotypical bully instead. Also, being a huge bitch doesn’t get you kicked out of places but fighting will so this angle was better for the story. She does retain some of her original bitchiness, though, even if I haven’t made it clear in the above text. You’ll see it better in the actual writing, I promise.

Soooo….. Yeah! That’s all I have on Kindheart right now, so I hope you all like her
