Because this family definitely needs to be more confusing, right? Meet the daughter of Princess Celestia and Tree Hugger, Long Sunny Days, or LSD for short.

LSD was a funny little doodle-bab I came up with in lectures last term, and I thought I'd bring her back here and make her canon to the universe because I think it'll be a brilliant disaster.

LSD lives with Celestia, and her twin sister, in Canterlot Palace. She's quite clearly a princess and was born an alicorn. She is expected to help rule Equestria once she becomes old enough and completes her studies. There is one problem with this, however, that being that Sunny here has the intelligence of a teaspoon and the attention span of a foal pumped full of sugar.

Well, okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration; she's actually pretty smart in the right context and the things she does always seem to have a way of working out rather amazingly. She's a whizz at mathematics and chemistry, but life in general is a challenge. LSD is the kind of pony who can spend ages pulling on a 'push-to-open' door and not realise what she's doing wrong, but then beat out an academic in an intellectual debate. No one really knows how this is possible. The best part of this whole thing is that LSD doesn't actually know she's smart; she's pretty convinced she's an idiot and nothing anyone says will change that because she thinks they're just trying to make her feel better.

Living with Celestia means that LSD doesn't see much of her other mother, but she never really has and so she's okay with that. Of course, she sometimes goes and stays with Tree Hugger and her half-siblings for some family bonding, rolling around in meadows and getting high, but this doesn't happen very often as her day is usually pretty packed and finding time to get away for that long is hard. All that time, however, is usually spent with Celestia, either as lessons or just as more family bonding. The two are quite close, even if Tia does sometimes despair at just how dumb her daughter can be sometimes.

LSD also has a twin sister, with whom she does pretty much everything, and who she loves dearly and would sacrifice her life for a hundred times over (hopefully she'll never have to do that). The pair have lessons together, spend time with their parents together, have the same group of friends, and just generally enjoy each other's company. Sometimes, they fight, but that's just families.

As for how she gets on with the rest of her family, Sunny loves them all to pieces and wishes she could spend more time with all of them together; she loves her step-mum and ex-step-mum and all the siblings of the family. Even if she isn't actually related to them all, she still considers each and every one of them family.

LSD's special talent is actually to do with science and chemistry, although anyone you ask will say it's do with creating hallucinogenic drugs and, yes, this is partly true, but making drugs is definitely chemistry so.... In part because of this, and in part because of just how dumb she can be, Sunny is known as a blissed out, drugged up, lazy, hippy, layabout of a princess, and this label is also applied to her sister. Sunny doesn't really mind too much because she thinks it's true (it really isn't... most of the time) and doesn't see anything wrong with it anyway. If she ever needs to get a job, she'll get one, it just so happens that she doesn't.
