A picture i've made for DAZaholics upcoming weekly render challenge, the next theme is "Angel of Death".Even though this kind of mixture between angelic/demonic being has been done quite often and is far from being a new idea, i still liked to try it ^^
Done in DAZ Studio 4.9, rendered in Iray, postwork done in Adobe Photoshop CC and Google NIK Collection.
Edit: Thanks to the powers of Photoshop i edited the lights on the altar and the placing of the hand and reuploaded a new version.

I like the intense emotion. It would be good to see her and her wings separated from the dark background a bit.

A rim light might have been a good idea, i've found that especially on screens that are very dark there's almost no distinction between background and the wings.
And i've done almost nothing in terms of expressions, a few subtle changes and especially the eyes do all the work conveying the emotions ^^

Love how her eyes seem blind, gives her really something demonic and supernatural. The lighting is also very well done and the hand reaching out at the bottom is a nice touch.
I would have put the reaching hand in the middle as well, to not disturb the symmetrical composition, but that's just me.

I love plain white or black eyes, it always works very well for supernatural figures
And i think you may be right about the hand.
It was the last thing added to the picture and the more i look at it the more i think moving it closer to the middle would have been a good idea.
Maybe i'll find the patience to render it a second time, i'm not happy with the red emissive light on the altar either ^^

Love those too, they indeed demonise the character quite easily. Somehow it makes them less human and more blank-neutral in what they do, like emotion and soul is stripped from the eyes.
