Description
This is a piece of artwork I came up with after writing this journal entry on an idea I had for a Legend of Zelda game.

Part of the fun of this series is knowing that each Link in the series is, for the most part, a completely new person. It's why sometimes he's right-handed instead of left, has brown hair instead of blonde hair, a kid one game, an adult the next. Hell, Linkle is supposed to be a girl version of the character. So I thought it'd be a funny idea if there was a Zelda game where Link was a chubby kid. After all, most of the time he's a fit, totally physically capable hero; wouldn't it be kinda funny if Ganon, Lord of Darkness, was taken out by a pudgy kid?

This particular design is mostly based off of the Toon Link design found in games like Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Tracks, but with a few changes - Link wears three layers of clothing; there's an all-white one-piece that can double as pajamas, with a light green tunic without sleeves, and finally a dark green vest to top it off. The cap also matches the vest, and I've given him gloves to balance out the brown articles of clothing that make up the uniform.

If you want more of an idea of what Link may or may not be capable of in this hypothetical game, here's a picture made by Mothman64 He had an idea similar to mine, so it should give you an idea of what Link would be like. Weird minds think alike, I guess.

And here's another picture by the guy, just because I wanna give him another shout-out - he's a way better digital artist than I am, and it's just a funny comic. I like to imagine that this is actually what happens in-between Waker and Hourglass.
