Build: Pericol has a very wide-set head that looks lovely from the profile and wonky as heck from the front. He stands fairly long and upright but has a sharply sloping shoulder and an impressive kaboose. He is ever so slightly offset in the knees.
Temperament: Pericol is surprisingly a bit of a mother hen in personality, considering he is a stallion. He is very protective of his rider and respectful of his handlers' boundaries once they are established. He stands nicely when tied and doesn't have any of the typical bad habits TB stallions tend to develop. He is, however, extremely herd sour and hates other stallions. He prefers to be alone and not interact with other horses at all.

Background Story

An extremely prolific racer during his career, Pericol was undefeated as a juvenile and earned Eclipse Champion 2yo honors with his Breeders Cup Juvenile win. He then went on to dominate the early Triple Crown trail and won the Kentucky Derby with ease. He lost his bid for the Preakness, however, and skipped the Belmont to come back in the fall and dominate the older horse division for a brief time.

Pericol retired to stud after a third place finish in the Breeders Cup Classic. He secured another Eclipse award as Champion 3yo Male.
