After Amela had returned to Pride Rock to inform her guardians, King Kovu and Queen Kiara of what had happened. Her mother, Queen Rani and her mate, King Kion who happened to be visiting during this specific time had overheard what happened. Rani had just wanted to ignore the daughter she gave up because this news was directed at her sister-in-law and her king to listen to. But another part of her just wanted to be near Amela as her mother just wanted to be near her daughter. Kion had watched on as he put a paw over Rani's for assurance. He had been watching his eldest cubs with such interest as he had witnessed Shujaa and Uzani interacting with Amela as if they had been life long friends their mother and his ex-mate, Tiifu watched on with awe that when Kion thought about it... Maybe Amela was nothing like the crazed lion she had the unfortunate dishonor of calling "her father" he figured he should cut the poor cub some slack. She had made something of herself while living in his place of birth and this wasn't the first time he was known to mistreat his loved ones in such a dishonorable way. He even once treated Tiifu like that which she didn't deserve in the first place. Maybe once chasing Vihar and his followers off he would actually get to sit down and take the time to know the REAL Amela and not make senseless assumptions and judge an innocent cub based on the actions of her "father". I mean if his own sister could give the hybrid cub a chance what harm would it be that he did the same for her? When Kiara approached Rani and Kion with Amela hiding under her guardian's legs looking at the ground nervously away from both her mother and Kion.

Kiara: "We're going to send Vitani and the rest of her Lion Guard with you the Junior Lion Guard will accompany you. You're going to need all the help you can get, little brother."

Kion: "You should know me by now, Kiara I'm an expert with things like this."

Kovu: "Your sister just wants you to be careful, Kion. Move in with extreme caution and don't let yourselves get backed into a corner."

Kion: "Don't worry, Kovu. I'm not that reckless cub I used to be anymore."

Tiifu: "Be careful, Kion I've only met this Vihar once before and he's not right in the head."

Kion: "I will Tiifu and I promise to keep Shujaa and Uzani safe."

Tiifu: "I know you will keep our cubs away from harm but if they need to fight then let them. They're skilled fighters and I couldn't be more proud of them both."

Kion: "So am I, Tiifu. So am I."

~ Hours Later After the Group Reaches to the Theluji Mountains ~

Chiku helped Amela up the last slope as the hybrid cub scrabbled the lower part of her body up the icy ledge.

Kibo: "So this is where you last saw him?"

Amela: "Yeah Vihar and his followers where standing right around here."

Uzani: "Just be careful this lion is unpredictable... The last time Shujaa and I encountered him. We barely got away with our lives."

Kion: "Stay behind me, Rani..."

Rani: "No Kion!"

Kion: "What--?"

Rani: "I'm going to face him. I can't let my fear of him especially after--" She looked away from Amela in shame as her forgotten daughter lowered her ears and glanced at the snow. Vitani walked forward and place a paw kindly on the lioness cub's shoulder which she gave her a small smile in return. Rani regained her composure. "Despite what happened I'm going to leave myself in the open as bait to lure him out. No doubt if I'm alone he'll have a better chance of showing himself."

Kion was about to protest on how much of a reckless idea this was but then he thought long and hard about this for a moment as Rani stood firm in her decsion.

Rani: "I promise I'll be perfectly safe my love."

Kion: "You better! We won't be far at all!"

Vitani: "Lion Guard lets hide until its time to strike!"

Chiku: "You heard Aunt Vitani! Let's hide until we're needed."

Everyone hid behind some boulders but Kion hesitated and looked back once more.

Shujaa: "Dad, Come on!"

Uzani: "Rani will be fine, Daddy come with us."

Rani: "I will be fine, Kion. Go with your cubs and hide with the others."

Kion finally followed his son and daughter to the hiding spot and waited in silence until he was needed.

Rani turned forward and glared on ahead as she walked forward a few paces and she looked in all directions until Vihar hovered over just above Rani. Vihar jumped down startling the asiatic lioness.

Vihar: "Rani, my darling! I was starting to wonder when you would show up. Has "our daughter" informed you that I was in the area?"

Kion snarled and was about to jump out but Vitani held him back by putting her right forepaw in his way blocking his path.

Rani: "Don't you DARE speak of her! That cub has had a horrible start because of YOU I'm her MOTHER you are FORBIDDIN from having ANY CONTACT with her!!"

Vihar: "Oh please, Rani let's stop pretending with this charade you have going for yourself! I know you've never cared about her from the very start of her life. She was miserable from the start while she was living at the Tree of Life. She was destined for much greater things and it certainly not living at Pride Rock pretending to play Lion Guard with your husband's spawn of imbeciles that pretend to love her."

Rani: "You really are a delusional fool and you've become an even worse lion from that of when you where a cub and despite of how that poor girl came to be she is trying to make something of herself now when she doesn't have to prove a damn thing to everyone! That daughter we unfortunately share is pure and innocent something you've lacked for seasons! I'm disgusted at what you've become. You let your father's poisonous ways of thinking consume your mind and it's sad to see you've become so crazed and power hungry... Maybe in some other universe we would have made a perfect match in some other universe but too much has already happened to go back to that way of life. This is goodbye my dear, Vihar. Please find some level of peace wherever you can... Find a mate who will love you for you and let go of this unhealthy obsession you have been hanging onto for seasons we will never be mates, Vihar, I will NEVER be your queen you have to learn to accept it and move on. I'm sorry Vihar..."

As she began to turn and walk away Vihar stood there dumbstruck at what the love of his life had just said. He began to regain his senses and rage took over. Vihar knocked Rani down where she stood and as he struck her in the face Amela put a paw over her mouth as she looked on horrified at what this crazed lunatic was doing to her mother. Kion had seen quite enough and he jumped out of their hiding spot.

Kion: "GET AWAY FROM MY WIFE!!!"

Kion struck Vihar square in the face with a powerful blow of his paw as Amela rushed over to check her mother out.

Amela: "M-Mom? Are you alright?!"

Kion: "Is she alright, Amela?"

Amela: "Sh-She's unconscious but I still feel a pulse."

Kion nudged Rani with his head she stirred a little bit but wasn't ready to open her eyes just yet.

Vihar: "You have a lot of nerve showing your face around me, "KION"! Stealing from me what was mine from the very beginning... You had a mate in what is her name... "Tiifu"? Why did you ever show up to The Tree of Life and steal her from me!?"

Kion: "Listen to yourself, Vihar you sound insane!" The claws came out as Kion was ready to attack this stalker who had been causing his wife harm long enough.

Vihar: "Fight me lion to lion! We'll see who's the superior one for her affection."

Kion raised his head and stepped forward growling as he stood protectively over both Amela and Rani. "If it's a fight you want, Vihar then you have it. This ends today once and for all!"
