Description
Hypothetical story for potential event after GT:Goku JR and Vegeta JR, are best friends, but also sworn rivals, in a love-hate friendship. The two of them lead ordinary lives, but to keep their family traditions of fighting alive, they enter the Tenkaichi Budokai every time it is running, but always show up short to the newer fighters due to their lack of training being school children, despite both being Super Saiyan at such a young age.
The two children learn the story of the Dragonballs, and go out into the world collecting them all. They wish from the dragonballs to become stronger. Much stronger! Goku, being fused with Shenron, appeared before them to grant their wish, instead of the Dragon, and from there, spent his new life training the new warriors to be the new protectors of earth.
This is how I picture Goku appearing 100 years later, to meet up with some of his old friends on the way, such as Dende, Mr Popo, Roshi, and perhaps Korin and Yajirobe too? Those sensu beans must have a life-prolonging side effect no?
XDD Just a lil idea that sprang to me.

I have several points to make. Before I get started, I want you to know I have no hate or intention to disdain your art.
1. I love the art and the outfit, although I'm not 100% sure that Goku would wear that, as it does not seem ideal to fight in.
2. Dragon Ball GT is technically not part of the "Dragon Ball Universe" due to the fact that it was never a manga, plus most of it was not invented by Akira Toriyama.
3. I think this is a really cool concept! (But I still, personally, don't like GT at all)

1. Thank you. ^^ And thank you for your opinion. XD You do have a point. I just wanted something quite regal looking, what with him being somewhat omnipotent as of late.
2. I personally am sick of that argument that GT doesn't count. I'm sorry, but I feel as though the fandom has gone on so long now that as an individual, "I" personally decide for what "I" view as canon and not canon. Since it is my own experience into the story, so regardless of who wrote what, the characters and soul of the series is there in whatever exists. I understand your view and from the point you're getting across, but I for one kind of liked GT, the japanese version anyway. The English dub and soundtrack is pretty cringeworthy. This also fits into AF, I enjoy the AF manga by Toyble thus far, so I'm taking that into my own Dragonball experience. It's not a very "official" or "legitimate" way of looking at the story I know, but it's the way I feel, and the way it's going to stay. ^^
3. I respect your view of why you don't like GT though, don't get me wrong. I can certainly see "why" people didn't like it. But personally. I liked it. And thank you. XD

1. I understand where you're coming from, especially since Goku became more of an other worldly being rather than an ultimate fighter.
2. I am sick of that argument too. GT was hugely popular and the US, but a failure in Japan. Akira Toriyama was originally going to end the Dragon Ball saga at the defeat of Cell, but Shonen Jump squeezed every last ounce of money out of him, forcing him to continue on with the Buu arc. I also like Toyble's DBAF and am really enjoying your continuation of the series. I completely am fine with others disagreeing with me. There are things in Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z that I disagree with, but that's just how things work. Toriyama even stated once that "GT didn't count," as you put it. In his newest project, DBO (Dragon Ball Online) is based in Age 1000 around 200 years after Dragon Ball Z ended and does not include any relation to GT or any filler or Anime-only content. I am really looking forward to it's English release.
3. I respect your views as well, but what to point out the main reasons why I don't like it. I hated how Goku was turned into a kid, but more so the fact that it was a wish by Pilaf. Secondly, I dislike the designs, even though it was Toriyama's, of Super Saiyan 4. I understand the relation it has to the Oozaru, but kind of wish they would have given a "savage" form of Super Saiyan 4 (obtained by the mastery of the Oozaru) and a more powerful "pure" Super Saiyan 4 (acheived throught extreme training and mastery of Super Saiyan 3).
Anyway, before I ramble on any further, I want to quickly say that I plan on making a Fan comic that is a continuation of DBZ. It is still yet-to-be-named, and is based 3 years after Goku leaves with Uub. I currently have the first Chapter completed and many of the designs of characters (such as 7-year-old Pan, Goku, and Goten), but I am still waiting to release it. I also hope to find out what happens to Vegeta in DBNA. Big Fan. ^v^

3. See those points were some of the ones I actually liked. XD I loved seeing the return of Pilaf as an elder, reuniting with Goku. And seeing Goku as a child again added to the nostalgic value GT attempted to rekindle, as much of a failure as it seemed to be to people. A lot of GT forgot about Z's canon, but that didn't bother me too much. I looked passed it and enjoyed GT as a show, rather than a continuation of Z. I've actually done my own rendition of what I though SSJ4 should have looked like. Or more, an ascended SSJ4 here.

Me neither. I really like the art. I have been a fan of Dragon Ball since I was six, and taught myself how to draw by drawing Dragon Ball Characters. I do think it is funny how I only have 2 characters in the first chapter though; Tenshinhan and Piccolo. XD

Yeah, as I've grown I've been able to adapt my art style to whatever I'm trying to draw. Kubo is an amazing artist, who even said he got inspiration for Bleach from Dragon Ball. I love this picture that he drew >> [link]
Tien is one of my favorites. You know he has fought every major villian except Vegeta and Frieza! ...which I guess just means Cell and Buu... Oh well he was still able to hold his own against both of them. In my manga, he confronts Piccolo after years of training and they have a long-awaited bout.

Yeah. You never see any of the Kais fight except for the Supreme Kais and Kabito. Then Mr. Popo only trains others so we have no idea of either of their powers.

They gave Goku his instant transmission technique. >> They must have plenty other techniques at their disposal, not to mention they may have fighters too. We never saw the Yardrats in the Manga, but there was a fighter in the video game Dragon Ball: Sagas. He fought Goku while he was on Yardrat. It would also be really awesome to see more about the Metamorans. All we know is their clothing and fusion technique!!!

He was really unique. When I was younger I convinced my friend that he was a Namekian who lost his antennae and that was where those black spots on his forehead came from. XD But since his species and the Metamorans were in other world, they mas as well be destroyed for all we know.

Well this is 100 years after the events of GT, so the family he knew would all be deceased by that time. But I'm sure he'd be able to visit them while they're resting in heaven no problem.
