So, I just quickly wanted to draw something rather random before delving into my next comic thingy. Something featuring my favorite season and my sweet&evil cuties. ~

Philosophical ramblings aside, I adore this picture! It's beautiful, tranquil, does Cinnamint spectacular, and it really shows a lot of emotion. To be honest, that's what I think is one of your best strengths as a storyteller; as a whole, you really make the characters--especially villains/antagonists--have humanity and depth to them. Even when some consider some characters, like Cinder, to be devoid of humanity.
Of course, now I'm upset that we didn't see something like this in Mistral. Where it would have been perfect! *Sighs* Oh well... I guess I'll have to put that into my pile of Vol. 5 disappointments. *Writes that down and throws it onto a small pile of similar notes*

That girl has so many issues.

Oh yeah, most certainly. At least, I'm don't believe that Cinder's sole traits are cruelty, malice, sadism, and evil. Those might be genuine, but even if RWBY's moral stance is more Manichaean (evil as a force) rather than Augustinian (evil as an absence/perversion of good), I think Cinder is more complex than we initially think. As are the other villains that aren't Emerald, Mercury, and Hazel.
To Emerald: Oh, trust me, Emerald; she's OUR terrible person. We just happen to feel differently about her then you, you know...

Yeah, hopefully. I mean, I did like Vol. 5, but there were still some big mistakes, and some lost opportunities. Plus, at least some stuff, like Jaune's fight with Cinder during episode 10 or 11, just felt really... forced, to say the least. Hopefully, stuff like that won't be repeated in the future.
I hope so too! Especially since I'm kind of worried that in the next season, they might just gloss over stuff they didn't focus on in Vol. 5. I mean, Vol. 6 isn't out yet and there aren't any more character shorts, so... anything's game. You know, barring crossovers or something.

Great work! It would definitely have to be another life... in this one, I feel like Cinder doesn't even really see Emerald and Mercury as people, just as tools. If she has any actual human feelings besides anger and smugness, we haven't seen them (except maybe a brief glimpse when she answers Pyrrha's question about destiny -- but who even knows what was going through her head then?).

No, we definitely saw a lot of human emotions from Cinder during volume 4. So much fear and vulnerability.
She looked like a scolded child in Salem's presence. xD (Especially when being questioned about Ozpin's death and after her brutal training session.)
Cinder wears her smugness and confidence as a mask. Her ego is actually very fragile. The anger was also real.
Sadly, they haven't shown us much about her past or motivations behind wanting power.
(*inhales* I need my evil Cinderella story.)

except not really because mouse is not made for art. x'D
Didn't really plan the background either. It was originally a forest with a single house in the background but I went with the festival theme instead.
No regrets there.

It's a bit rude to keep advertising your content in the comments of other peoples' art. This artist and many others work very hard on what they do, so it's extremely impolite to make the conversation about you rather than the piece you're commenting on.

Now, I don't mind it when people occasionally mention their own stories and characters, especially if it's relevant or comes up naturally in a conversation.
You're clearly passionate about your content, which is great, but could you maybe take it down a notch when posting a comment on someone else's work?
I find sharing self-promoting links and only briefly mentioning the person's artwork almost as obligatory feedback before your own (sometimes rather lengthy) advertisement rather disrespectful.
And I mean in general, not you specifically.
( I like receiving PMs from people who want others to take a look at their content or simply discuss story ideas though. )
