Description
Final version of the "Portrait of the human Spectre". I've changed the title to "Ballad of the Human Spectre" because this painting is not about a portrait anymore. Instead this painting depicts scene where Shepard is fighting of a horde of mercs and outlaws on an uncharted planet.

Basicly I wanted to portray the power of a Spectre agent in action. Since according to the ME lore, that Spectre agents have the firepower to wipe out a whole (mooks) platoon without a sweat. So it's basicly a painting that is about Commander Shepard showing off her poweress to her enemies in the battlefield... alone. Why alone? Because she finds it easier to finish her job alone.

Also it's a painting the potrays her persona: Daring, sharp, sassy, headstrong, brave, heroic and beautiful. I'm trying to paint her off as a battle warrior maiden. You know, like the Valkyries or Artemis.

I wanted to start painting a series of portraits/ballads of the rest of the Normandy Recon team (Ashley, Garrus, Kaidan, Liara, Tali and Wrex). Not only in action but something that symbolise them well.

Will be also working on the wallpaper version of this so stay tuned.

Tools of the trade in this painting: Wacom Tablet, CS4 Photoshop. All of it done mostly digital painting that is painted over my pencil sketch.

EDIT: The face was a litle tad flat, so I've tried to fix it and define the nose a bit. Also due the hand in the foreground talking away the attention from the main subject, I've desaturated and blurred a bit to make meld with the background.
