Well, ever since I did my first Byzantine coat of arms, I became unsatisfied with the way it turned out. Sooo, I did this wich probably is my largest work till this day. At least it took the longest of all I did because I had to do the Order and the crown and stuff.Credtis: Element taken from wikimedia commons.

The Byzantine Empire did not use western European heraldry during it's time of existence. Only the Palalogoi, thel ast Byzantine dynasty, adopted the double-headed eagle as a personal symbol, but never as a coat of arms in the traditional sense. No, not even close. The version of communism established in the Eastern Block was just one of many, just like any system has several dozen versions of it, and the one we had in the past is not the one I favour.Β
To that point: So you are a monarchist. Do you have to be indoctrinated to believe a system that died a hundred years ago and meant absolutism, mercantilism, feudalism and general suffering can "work" too or do you just throw that shit out there to annoy people?Β

I recoloured this eagle right here: commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fil⦠and changed it so that it wasn't holding anything in it's claws. SOmething like this usualy takes a while

I like how you incorporated all the symbols associated with the Byzantines: double-headed eagle, the banner and cypher of the Palaiolgos dynasty, and the chi rho cross at the top. I would've thought that they would use purple in the color scheme as purple is mentioned a lot when referring to Byzantine royalty. But still this is an awesome coat of arms.
