I've seen many drawings of Spike as an adult dragon, but you're the only one I've seen who's drawn Spike as an old dragon. And even so (at least to me), he still looks great for his age.

For those who form bonds with those of shorter life spans the weight of your lifespan will begin to crush you. Losing friend after friend, lover after lover. Nothing is worse than living forever knowing any friend you make will wither and die in what seems to you a blink of the eye.

In the case of Celestia, she must've endured countless heartaches as she watched friends and loved ones die throughout her... what??? 2 500 years of existence, give or take?
It would probably be the same for Princess Luna and Cadence. And now, Twilight Sparkle has joined their ranks of potential immortality. And Shining Armour, would he be the same way as Cadence's husband?

Now I can see how Spike going into a cave reminded you of FOE, if that was as far as you read. Once the Rarity statue is revealed, the similarity kinda goes away.

I am curious what part of this reminds you of Fallout Equestria. Aside from Spike outliving his friends and having something that reminds him of them, I don't see it.

I honestly don't see why not. I get that it was written before Twilight went alicorn, but this comic IS made after that fact! It would have added a bit more to the whole thing.

The comic was also written before Alicorn Twilight so it kind of made things weird when she became one.

No no, I meant it would have been cool if you as the writer of the comic modified it so that it was Twilight instead of Celestia.

I considered it, but the art for that portion was already done, and I prefer Celestia to be Spike's remaining friend to Twilight. Darn show keeps ruining people's stories. =o)
