What did luna do? kill them or turned both of them into stone?

I assume that, at the moment of their passing, Luna used her magic to transform them into the two shooting stars in the last panel, so that they'll be together for all eternity (like AJ's parents.)Β But that's just my interpretation.

the stars in equestria are the inhabitants of the land look at the last panel it has stars appering to the sky that is spike and rarity

I'm thinking Rarity was turned to stone to preserve what life she had left until it was Spike's time to pass on. Then she was restored to life so that they could die together. I don't believe Luna killed them, I believe she sent their souls to wherever it is dead pony and dragons go, some kind of MLP heaven we don't know the name if.

This was my interpretation too, but I think the blue pony (luna?) killed them.. after all, they wanted to die together, no? Your guess is as good as mine though, as this comic doesnβt show what happened explicitly and leaves it open for interpretation.Β
