So my girlfriend's travelling back to Bristol from Nova Scotia today/tomorrow (it's an overnight flight), and when she gets here, it's probably gonna feel pretty warm. Might well be in t-shirt and shorts, asking where the nearest beach is.

Indeed it is. Except for very brief moments during spring and summer. And occasionally in the immediate aftermath of it stopping snowing during winter.

Man, the coldest it gets here in Southern California during the day in Winter is about 72 degrees Fahrenheit. And no snow and barely any clouds so needless to say, I am not a happy camper. I really like cloudy weather.

Yeh, cloudy weather stops the sun destroying your eyes. It's probably not like this in So Cal, but here, the sun spends most of the day annoyingly close to eye level, and when it's not, it reflects off of wet roads really easily. Don't know how people manage to drive here.

Dang, we only ever get that during the REALLY cold parts of winter, and even then, only way up north in Scotland or something.

It's really funny when people from down in Florida come up here or we go down there. People would start bundling up in winter coats when it's only 40F (roughly 4C) and I just think "you haven't seen anything yet." Vice versa we'll be out in 60F (roughly 15C) with everyone bundled up and we're in t shirts (and really light jackets at worst) eating ice cream.

Oh yeah. I lived in Massachusetts for a few years, and then lived in Key West, Florida(southern most point of the US) for a few more. The word "cold" meant VERY different things in both places. XD

Lol, I know. First year that I lived in Key West I was looking at everyone during the winter getting all cozy in big coats, and I was sitting there in a freakin short sleeve shirt goin "Wait, you guys think it's cold?" XD

Well, it's what ever you're used to. Personally, I've been to every high and low end of the States, so I'm used to things changing. Other people, not so much. But it's all good, I think. ^_^
