Requested by my friend - she wanted to know how i make manipulations (although she's already amazing, she really doesn't need a tuto), but she also wanted to know how i did the coloring effects in this particular piece [link] so here you go.I hope the tutorial can be useful for some of you. English is not my native language, but i still hope i explained the basic steps understandable. If something's unclear don't be shy to ask.
There are also some very cool tutorials by Black Lagoon [link] which did help me a lot to improve my art.

Wenn ich mir die schritte so anschaue ist es eigentlich nicht viel anders als wie ich meine manips mache..
auser vielleicht bei den farben...und eben dem mystischen ambiente bei diesem Bild

Puh, da bin ich erleichtert - ich habe es ja fürdich geschrieben und es hätte mich geärgert, wenn du es nicht hättest verstehen können.
Na klar könntest du das, du hast mir doch schon so viel erklärt, das würdest du locker schaffen
Ich hatte mir das schon gedacht, ist ja eigentlich auch nichts Neues drin.
Die Tutos solltest du dir wirklich ansehen, die sind super ausführlich geschrieben, wirklich hilfreich.
wie lange? Kann ich in Stunden nicht sagen, ich hatte mir einen Nachmittag dafür Zeit genommen, aber nicht auf die Uhr geschaut. Da ich die PSD-Datei noch hatte, hat es nicht so lange gedauert.

Ach es ist schon interessant deine Arbeitsweise zu sehen...
Ist es so leichter? Ich schneide meist z.B den Kopf aus und positioniere ihn dann auf die Base...ich denke deine weise ist leichter..muss ich mal so probieren.

Sollest du auf jeden Fall, es würde mich wsehr interessieren, wie du so arbeitest. Du hast auch manche Effekte in deinen Bildern, wo ich gerne wüsste, wie man die macht.
Meist mache ich das so, weil ich vorher nicht weiß, wieviel ich vom Bild gebrachen kann (z.B. von den Haaren), da gehe ich lieber sicher. Aber ob es leichter ist, kann ich nciht sagen, ich habe es mir einfach so angewöhnt.

Dann natürlich wundere ich mich immer, wie du Jaspers Narben und die Haut-Sparkel so toll hinbekommst.

wow dachte nicht das du soviele hattest die du wissen wolltest
leider kann ich womöglich den zweiten link und die letzten beiden nicht mehr nachverfolgen...gerade diese PSD Dateien waren auf meiner alten Festplatte wo ich alles verloren hatte...hatte eben nochmal meinen PC durchforstet und meine externe Festplatte aber da hatte ich sie nicht drauf...leider...aber der rest werde ich auf alle fälle machen und dir auch erklären wie ich Jazz´s Narben mache/und die Sparkle..ist wirklich nicht schwer...wenn du noch mehr wissen willst..sags mir einfach..ich erklärs dir gern in einem tut...

Ja, die Liste ist wirklich lang, deswegen musst du wirklich nicht zu jedem ein Tuto machen, das wäre zuviel Arbeit und das kann ich nicht von dir verlangen.
Ach das ist so schade, aber vielleicht machst du irgendwann nochmal so ähnliche Bilder und dann kannst du mir sagen, wie du die hinbekommen hast.

ach quatsch! Ich mach das gerne und viel Arbeit ist das wirklich nicht...ich versuche die drei anderen auch mal hinzubekommen..also von denen ich keine PSD Datei mehr habe...besonders das Jake/Nessie wird schwer...da hab ich selbst die Brushes und BG´s nicht mehr..aber den effekt könnte ich vielleicht irgendwie erklären..weiß zwar noch nicht ganz wie aber da wird sich schon was finden...das eine [link] ist aber nix besonderes..was genau möchtest du da wissen?

Das wäre supi-supi toll! Aber das wird sicher nicht einfach - ich glaube nicht, dass ich Bilder, wo ich die PSDs nicht mehr habe, reproduzieren könnte. Ich bin so vergesslich, was sowas angeht.
Bei dem einen wollte ich im Grunde nur wissen, wie du diesen Blur-Effekt gemacht hast, z.B. bei dem Fluss. Ist das normaler Gaussian Blur? Wenn ich sowas versuche, sieht das immer komisch aus.

nee einfach werden die sicher nicht..ohne irgendwelche anhaltspunkte...echt schwer...und ist schon ne weile her..und ich arbeite ja sowieso so chaotisch in Photoshop..
Den Blur effekt da hab ich einfach Gaussian Blur benutzt und opacity gesenkt...kann dir aber gern ein kleines tut machen morgen...dann siehst du was ich meine...ich hoffe ich bekomms hin..

Yep, i am. Adjustment layers are our friends. I like them very much, because you can try different settings very easily with them and you can also reverse stuff if necessary which you can't do if you use the effects on the layers directly.
I didn't think my method was very original since i learned it pretty much from tutorials myself.

I just realized that my technic is just rubbish. After seeing your tuto (what a great onr!!) it's so methodical, so clear (even it's really hard) you have so much experience that you made it look so simple.

Blaspehmy!!! How can you say your technique is rubbish when you make so wonderful manips?! I would love to make manips like yours and i would love to hear about how you make them.
I'm happy you like the tuto and find it understandable - personally i thought i don't work very methodically (i always take the hard road) and people would only get more confused from my descriptions.

I do too, I always take the complicated way to realize a manip. And it's so hard for me to explain people how I do it. Cause there's no right method and it depends on the base, right?! So I always answer "open photoshop, try every tool and you'll get it one day" xD that's how I did !
I think it was really courageous to do this tuto and explain it perfectly!!!! I could never do one like this

This! I always tell people the same - you can't really tell them "do this" or "use that method" to achieve a certain result, because every piece is different - the base is different, the settings are different. What might have worked for one manip doesn't necessarily have to work for the next one. There are basic steps you can reproduce, but there's also the huge "creativity" part which you can't just put into a simple equation. So I tell people to just experiment, because that's what i do as well.
